THE HISTORY OF
ANSWERING MACHINES
Unless you slept through all of your history classes, you may remember that the first telephone was created by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876. However, the first answering machine wasn’t created until about 22 years later, and then redesigned 16 years after that by the one and only Thomas Edison. To learn more, take a scroll through the history of answering machines below starting from the late 1800’s all the way up to the early 2000’s!
